If you’ve been browsing this website, you will have read a lot about the benefits of Search Engine Optimisation.
Here’s an SEO success story, about one of my clients – because the proof is in the pudding …
An SEO Success Story
In October 2015, I worked with the new owners of the Bendigo Gallery Cafe on their new website, and optimised it for the search engines.
It was difficult to choose just one major keyword, so in the end the focus was on two:
- Bendigo cafe; and
- cafe Bendigo.
As part of their internet marketing strategy, the owners signed up for an SEO Starter Package to give their new website a bit of a boost, and to help spread the word about their business.
Usually it takes a couple of months (at least) for Google (and other search engines) to find and index new websites and web content; it takes even longer for that content to really reach a high ranking in search engine results.
Signs of SEO Success
Although an ongoing SEO strategy is optimal, even that initial boost can really make a difference.
Just over a year later, in December 2016, I checked to see how the Gallery Cafe website was performing and was delighted to find that it:
- ranked #3 in organic search for both “Bendigo cafe” AND “cafe Bendigo”;
- the Domain Authority had grown from 1, to a healthy 20 (it has since dropped); and
- there was a definite increase in web traffic from organic search.
It’s interesting to note in the graphic above, that web traffic only really began to take off in April 2016 – six months afterwards – and although there hasn’t been any further SEO undertaken, it continued to rise throughout the rest of 2016.
As this example clearly shows: SEO is a long term strategy!
For best results, ongoing SEO is recommended (just imagine – this client could have reached #1 in organic search!) – and it doesn’t have to be expensive. Why not contact me today at Front Page Web Writing, to find out how affordable a weekly or monthly SEO package can be?
